Nicky Bomba hits the road with a fresh vibe playing songs from his new album Food & Shelter.
Sharing the stage with a new line up it will be a Bombafied interpretation of the new sounds on the album.
“It’s been a strange world for live performers recently so I’m buzzed to get back on stage and connect with audiences again. The ancient ritual of playing music and feeling the connection is a vital part of my lifeblood. This tour is going to be a sweet celebration. I’ve put a new line up together and we’re ready to party. Boomshakalaka!” (Nicky Bomba)
Debuting in October and holding strong in the Top 20 of the AIR charts, Food & Shelter presents a fresh side to one of Australia’s creative blazing sparks. The album is Nicky’s second solo release but the 24th long player of his career. His work with the Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Bustamento, John Butler Trio, Joe Camilleri, Ross Hannaford and more has earnt him 4 x ARIAs, Age Music Awards, APRA award, Music Vic Award and a respect within the industry that can only be earned.
As a multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Nicky was able to utilise his skills to play and produce a new chapter of songs celebrating all the musical influences from around the world. Making their return to live stages up and down the East Coast in the early stages of 2022, Sydney’s dynamic Thunder Fox are fired up and ready to go.
Brandishing their recently released sophomore album Sanctuary, Thunder Fox have produced a true career-defining collection of music. And with this tour, kicking off in January and continuing through into April, Thunder Fox are making up for lost time. The shows will be a party; a celebration of the band’s new era, and their return to the environment where they thrive the most: on stage.
The release of Sanctuary in November gave fans and newcomers alike a little insight into the strengthened - and in some cases, new - dynamic of the band, both as songwriters and performers. Their breadth of influences, from soul to pop, R&B to progressive funk and beyond, could be heard threaded through a string of top single releases in ‘Not For Sale’, ‘Love You 2’ and ‘Head In The Clouds’.
Music that has been created with the live element well in mind, Thunder Fox’s new album marks a bright and vibrant new chapter for the five piece.

Following the release of their knockout single 'Way Out' this week, Australian rock favourites Dear Seattle are announcing their Way Out Australian Headline Tour slated for early 2022 today.
Earlier this year Dear Seattle postponed their celebratory In My Head single tour due to NSW restrictions, and are excited to be announcing the newly-branded Way Out Tour to celebrate more new music. Marking the band's first time playing a headline tour since selling out their 2019 Don't Let Go album run, Dear Seattle will now play an extensive run of shows around the country from January-March with special guests.
Crunchy and memorable, 'Way Out' finds Dear Seattle vocalist Brae Fisher deep-diving into themes like codependency and resentment building in a relationship lacking honest communication and personal space.
"Instead of discussing the way I felt, I had a tendency of bottling things up if I knew it was something that was going to hurt the other person," he shares. "I’d choose to hold onto things I should’ve been letting go, choosing connection when I really need space, and avoiding asking for help when I really needed it. I’ve come a long way since I became aware of these tendencies, but 'Way Out' is how I look at this period in my life in hindsight.”
In the same vein as their June 'In My Head' release, 'Way Out' finds the band heading in a more nuanced and mature musical direction, while still holding true to classic Dear Seattle chant-along choruses, introspective verses and emotionally-charged storytelling.

10 years of good times and good food!
A couple of weeks ago Miami Marketta hit a major milestone celebrating our 10th birthday. When we began we were opening to the public only once a month as a special event, fast forward to now and we are a full blown mecca housing dozens of small businesses open a minimum of 3 days a week. As we reflect on these last 10 years of Marketta; how it has grown and evolved throughout the decade, there are a couple of familiar faces that have been here since day dot. If you’re a local there is one man you might be familiar with, the owner and operator of the legendary food stall, Little Greek Kitchen; Kosta Rotos.
Kosta is part of the furniture here at Miami Marketta, originally starting the stall with family friend Jason, just for something fun to do with their friends while they enjoyed the atmosphere and indulged in a couple of frosty beers. Since then, over the last 10 years he has turned this social occasion into a very successful business serving up Greek Street Food to thousands of happy customers.
What's on the menu?
At Kosta’s stall you will find delicious Greek street fare. Beautifully marinated meats bathed in lemon, seasoned with oregano, salt and pepper, barbecued on a hot fiery grill, lathered in fresh homemade tzatziki and hummus, topped with crispy chips, wrapped up tight in a soft and floury pita. Yes, we are talking about the globally adored, rarely pronounced correctly; Gyros, or as Kosta sells it ‘Yiros’.
This tasty treat originates from Greece and Cyprus similar to the Middle Eastern Kebab but with all those mediterranean flavours that we love! The name "gyros" comes from the Greek word "γύρος" and is translated as "turn", referring to the rotisserie that the meat is grilled on. If you get in early you can also treat yourself to a Meze Platter of cured meats and cheese, perfect to go with a cold glass of wine or a Purple Haze Margarita.
Little Greek Kitchen also does amazing catering with a huge range of Mediterranean style finger food and platters perfect for any Private or Corporate event, Birthday parties and weddings. Servicing anywhere from Brisbane to Byron Bay they have an abundance of different options that can be tailored to your preferences and dietary requirements.
Where its at!
Be sure to come check out Little Greek Kitchen open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night from 5pm at Miami Marketta!
You can also check them out on Instagram @littlegreek_kitchen or their website www.littlegreekkitchen.com.au.

Floodlights make honest, catchy rock music that melds ‘80s alternative rock with ‘90s New Zealand jangle-pop. Formed in mid 2018 in Melbourne, the band consists of guitarists/vocalists Louis Parsons and Ashlee Kehoe, bassist Joe Draffen and drummer Archie Shannon (Dragoons). They self released their debut EP ‘Backyard’ in 2019 on 10” vinyl, containing the single ‘Nullarbor’ which gained them an abundance of attention globally. With a reissue of the EP from Spunk Records in late 2019, the band gained more attention, coinciding with an east coast tour of Australia, where the band also showcased what was to come from their debut LP ‘From a View’. Considered long overdue - though only being a year after their first release - ‘From a View’ was released via Spunk Records and Woo Me! Records. The LP depicts Floodlights’ progression as a band, presenting more intricate instrumentation with their well loved vocal projection. Recorded and mixed by renowned engineer Nao Anzai and mastered by Mikey Young, the music was in safe hands.

To repatriate the good people of AUSTRALIA with music in its purest form, PRESS CLUB return to dark, heaving nightclubs. Throughout JANUARY + FEBRUARY 2022 the PRESS CLUB howitzer will line up ten Australian cities.
PRESS CLUB's third record was scheduled to be recorded in Berlin between tours in 2020. When live music was put on ice they spent time the only other way they know how – resigning themselves to the studio. After songwriting en masse for two years, their third album will finally surface in 2022.
Although the quieter times are a necessity for creative growth, the band’s rapturous return to stage will see the mighty, shrieking half of this two-headed beast rise from its dormancy.
