It was a beautiful night, filled with white linen, velvet couches, a little bit of magic and a whirl of simplicity. As we helped Oakie The Label celebrate their first birthday in the newly created Gin Parlour at Miami Marketta, patrons were welcomed with a gin on arrival, art and photography plus were encouraged to create their own clay treasure to keep. In true Oakie style, the night flowed with creative energy. The night featured incredible music from Jackson James Smith and Bronte Eve, photography by Ella May and art by Tia Nation + Zali Bartholomew. For those of you who don't know what Oakie is, it is independently owned and based in south QLD. Oakie wants to give back and this is their little way of saying a simple thank-you to our generous Earth for giving us much in return. Oakie is completely eco-friendly and affordable. Bianca Hemsley, only 27 years old, seek's the materials in the rawest forms to provide you with the most luxurious linens, cottons, hemps and so on. Her aim is to help widen peoples understanding for what it really means to wear sustainable and ethical clothing. FULL GALLERY HERE
