Swooping into it’s third year, Ché Pritchard’s hit production BIRDS OF PARADISE: A Comedy Birdlesque! is back, and this time the flock is covering more ground than ever! The world-class, multi-skilled and clucking amazing cast will be dazzling audiences with their spectacular and hilarious displays for a whole new flock of feathered cabaret and comedy fans!!

There’s no need to brave the depths of the Amazon to peek at the mating rituals of the more traditional ‘birds of paradise’, when we have our own spectacular (albeit quirky) ‘Birds of Surfers Paradise’ right here. This show will have you laughing like a kookie in a gumtree… happy as an ibis at the tip.. excited as a pigeon at maccas.. ok ok you get it. We know them and their antics well, but never have we seen them quite like this. Don’t be surprised if they pluck themselves on stage, steal your hot chips, or have you ducking for cover under your seats. So grab a perch and hold on tight as these avian locals show off their plumage and put on an outrageous display that you’ll be chirping about for weeks.

Mark Seymour formed Hunters and Collectors in 1980, with a bunch of Uni friends.  The band became famous for its rhythmic power and very quickly became touted as the “next big thing”.  The Album “Human Frailty“ was recorded in Melbourne in 1985. 

This record has proven to be one of the most important and enduring records of the eighties and Hunters and Collectors were still playing a large part of this cut in 1998 when they retired.  With “Human Frailty“ Mark discovered, love, loss, and pop melody.  His solo records are directly connected to this era and bear the same stamp of raw honesty and emotional power.

As a solo artist, Mark continues to search for the emotional truth in a song. His strength as a performer remains undiminished despite the ever-present shadow of the band he used to be in. 

As well as 13 Hunters & Collectors albums, Mark has released seven solo albums and three with his current band, The Undertow.  Throughout it all, he has shown he is one of our finest songwriters, capturing our stories of love, loss, human courage and achievement.

Mark is currently putting the finishing touches to his new album “The Boxer” which will be released in the first quarter of 2024.

Tasmanian best mates Luca Brasi are back with their sixth studio album; one that thrums with renewed energy and verve; a fiery blast from a band refreshed, renewed, and better than ever. It’s often said that there’s something magical about Tasmania. And true, too, is that there’s something magical about Luca Brasi. They’re a marvel of an act – always humble, not an ego among them, as comfortable in amongst the crowd as they are in front of it.

Australian country rock singer-songwriter Casey Barnes is set to make waves once again with the release of his electrifying fifth album, Mayday, scheduled to hit the airwaves on Friday May 31st. Mayday features singles Summer Nights, Never Give Up On A Good Time and Miracles, all to have reached #1 in the Country Airplay Charts.

Across two nights, Casey Barnes and his band will be bringing the new album and an electric live show to Queensland fans before heading over to the US to perform at CMA Fest 2024.

Be sure to catch Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham (of The Waifs) live on their ‘Birdsong’ Tour.

Their new album Birdsong is a 10-track celebration about conquering the cage and finding your voice. In the tradition of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, the pair soar like birds on a wing and their song is glorious. Venturing beyond the minimal, intimate acoustic stylings of their ARIA-nominated debut album (The Song Club), Birdsong adds more meat on the bone. Electric guitars can be heard throughout, along with an eclectic array of obscure, small stringed instruments. Award winning Matt Fell lends his considerable talents to the project, proving a perfect choice as co-producer and musician.

Sweeping the 52nd Golden Guitar Awards in both nominations and top category wins, the duo took home Traditional Country Album of the Year for Birdsong, and album track “Size Up” was awarded Song of the Year and Single of the Year.

James Reyne is dipping back into the Crawl File, hitting the road to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Australian Crawl’s first greatest hits collection.
 
Crawl File plays like a classic gig, opening with the band’s debut single, ‘Beautiful People’, and closing with their most popular live song, ‘The Boys Light Up’. In between are some of the most-loved Australian songs of all time, including ‘Reckless’, ‘Errol’, ‘Oh No Not You Again’, ‘Lakeside’, ‘Downhearted’ and ‘Things Don’t Seem’.

This is a General Admission standing event, with limited seating
