HOT POTATO BAND

Hot Potato Band’s larger-than-life brass collective is a breath of fresh air, setting a new bar for energetic and interactive musical performances.

Finding home in Sydney, Australia, their positive coastal energy pushes euphoric boundaries in their bold quest to reignite acoustic instrumentation. The bands 10 year street performing history and unique sound is built on the backs of three drummers, a sousaphone and five horns that cover catchy chorus lines, providing a beautiful harmonic cloud for Ben (vocalist) to float above. HPB is un-bound by genres, stages and audiences.

They are re-inventive of the traditional street brass band as a modern day dance machine and visual spectacle for all demographics with a strong sense of pride for their fun-loving, organic, and quirky musical nature.

Illy - Long Way Round Tour

Platinum selling artist, ILLY is diving headfirst into one of the most extensive tours of his career. The Long Way Round Tour is a welcome return to the tour circuit in preparation for new ILLY music on the horizon, acting as both a reminder of the quality of performance to those who know his live show, and an introduction to it for those yet to come.

It is this statement of intent, and another statement direct from ILLY - “i just really miss the road”, that saw The Long Way Round Tour come to life. Traveling to regional centres that often get left off tour runs, with a stripped back performance that lets the music do the talking, and keeping tickets affordable to fans at a time where that point is more important, and often more forgotten, than ever.

After a few dark years, the future is bright, and ILLY invites you to join him on The Long Way Round Tour, and begin anew for one of Australia’s most consistent performers.

Echoes of Pink Floyd - Signs of Life Tour

RSVP ON FACEBOOK

In 1988, Australia witnessed a rock concert event unprecedented in its scale, scope and impact.

English powerhouse rockers Pink Floyd, sparkling with fresh energy after enduring significant upheaval in the early 1980’s, came to our shores in support of their smash hit A Momentary Lapse of Reason album.  Stunning in its audio and visual impact, this tour set a benchmark still considered the gold standard for touring acts the world over.  This tour was filmed and recorded for subsequent release as a live album, appropriately titled “The Delicate Sound of Thunder”.

Now, 35 years later as our country begins to re-embrace live music, Australia’s own Echoes of Pink Floyd bring you their painstakingly crafted homage to this amazing concert experience, Signs of Life.

Signs of Life will take the listener on a voyage bringing back those heady years of 1988, with the best songs from the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour lovingly reproduced for Pink Floyd fans of all ages and backgrounds.  Audiences will be able to thrill to tracks that have not been performed live in this country for decades, as well as enjoying all the smash hits and stadium anthems they know and love.

Echoes of Pink Floyd are Australia’s premier Pink Floyd tribute artists, having thrilled tens of thousands of Pink Floyd fans throughout the country since their inception in 2009.  The group features seasoned musicians and passionate Pink Floyd devotees Daniel Hunter and Mark MacNab on guitars, Jason Miller on drums, Paul Bindig on keyboards, Matt Goodluck on vocals and Tony Coppola on bass.  For the Signs of Life tour, Echoes of Pink Floyd will draw on their extended “family” of amazing female vocalists and stunningly accurate saxophonists Australia-wide to authentically re-create the Delicate Sound of Thunder sonic landscape.  The meticulously layered sounds will be complemented by an impactful visual presentation, drawing out the themes, feelings and messages behind Pink Floyd’s thought-provoking lyrics.

Echoes of Pink Floyd’s Founder and life-long David Gilmour enthusiast Daniel Hunter said “I’ve always loved David Gilmour’s guitar work, it’s pure class.  This tour will showcase his work at its absolute peak and I can’t wait to share it with our audiences.”

Co-founder Jason Miller agreed.  “We’ve spent countless hours making sure every sound is exactly as it should be.  This is what our audiences have come to expect over the years and we love the challenge of getting these songs just right”.

Front man Matt Goodluck took a moment to reflect on the Signs of Life concept.  “The impact of Pink Floyd’s visit to Australia in 1988 is impossible to overstate and this is certainly not lost on us.  We’re so excited to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this iconic tour and bring back some great memories for Pink Floyd fans all over the country. “

Echoes of Pink Floyd will be paying tribute to the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour with an extensive touring schedule throughout 2023 and 2024.

1927 and Boom Crash Opera - The ‘Best Things Tour

RSVP ON FACEBOOK

In the late Eighties, 1927 and Boom Crash Opera owned the airwaves; and in some respect still do today. So naturally this double up was inevitable.

From ARIA awards, platinum albums and Top 40 Hits, Boom Crash Opera and 1927 have them all. The ‘Best Things Tour’ will deliver a night to remember.

About Boom Crash Opera:
These here are crazy times. But Boom Crash Opera are one band you can rely upon.
The producer of their debut album told them: “The most important thing a group can do is stay together. Keep it together and you can do anything you want.”
Boom Crash Opera took those words to heart, proudly becoming one of Australia’s most-loved bands, with 13 Top 50 singles and five Top 50 albums.
As founding member Peter Farnan says, “We sounded like our name.” It’s an intoxicating mix of indie pop and stadium rock, with unforgettable hits such as
‘Great Wall’, ‘Hands Up In The Air’, ‘City Flat’, ‘Onion Skin’ ‘Get Out Of The House’, ‘The Best Thing’ and ‘Dancing In The Storm’.
Nearly four decades after the band began, the start of ‘Onion Skin’ remains an irresistible rallying cry:
Keep it in! Cut it out! Kick it out!

About 1927:
Know for enduring hits such as ‘That’s When I Think of You’, ‘Compulsory Hero’, ‘To Love Me’, ‘Scars’, ‘Don’t Forget Me’, and of course, ‘If I Could’, 1927 made a devastating entry into the ears of its listeners with quintuple Platinum ‘…Ish’ in 1988, which earned the band a number of ARIA awards as well as a lot of fans along the way.
Having followed up ‘…Ish’ with the multi platinum second album ‘The Otherside’, a self-titled third album, and countless live shows at home and abroad, the last couple of decades have earned 1927 legendary status

Mark Seymour & The Undertow

Mark Seymour formed Hunters and Collectors in 1980, with a bunch of Uni friends.  The band became famous for its rhythmic power and very quickly became touted as the “next big thing”.  The Album “Human Frailty“ was recorded in Melbourne in 1985.

This record has proven to be one of the most important and enduring records of the eighties and Hunters and Collectors were still playing a large part of this cut in 1998 when they retired.  With “Human Frailty“ Mark discovered, love, loss, and pop melody.  His solo records are directly connected to this era and bear the same stamp of raw honesty and emotional power.

As a solo artist, Mark continues to search for the emotional truth in a song. His strength as a performer remains undiminished despite the ever-present shadow of the band he used to be in.

As well as 13 Hunters & Collectors albums, Mark has released seven solo albums and three with his current band, The Undertow.  Throughout it all, he has shown he is one of our finest songwriters, capturing our stories of love, loss, human courage and achievement.

Mark is currently putting the finishing touches to his new album “The Boxer” which will be released in the first quarter of 2024.

Russell Crowe’s Indoor Garden Party
Featuring: The Gentlemen Barbers and special guests Lorraine O’Reilly and Myth Of Her

He was named Rome’s Ambassador to the world in 2022, awarded as a “Global Icon” by GQ magazine, but he was also barred entry from a suburban Japanese restaurant in Melbourne for not wearing the correct attire, on a Friday, at lunchtime, in 37° heat.
A non-story that became global news.

Whether he’s telling the story, or people are telling a story about him, life’s always interesting if you’re Russell Crowe.

In January 2024, he’s playing music and bringing his Indoor Garden Party back to Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast.

An “Indoor Garden Party” is, he says “an event, a band, a happening. It’s fluid. The personnel changes, but it’s always big. It’s like a festival where I gather people I admire, musicians and storytellers, and we put on a show.”

The concept started in 2009 in a pub outside London owned by the chat show legend, Michael Parkinson, and it has kept going in a haphazard, ad lib way ever since.
With this configuration, Crowe brings to the foreground The Gentlemen Barbers, who he has been quietly tinkering with for the last four years.
“There’s an attitude about this band. It’s got a groove. We do a lot of story songs, but we also know we are here to blow out the cobwebs and give the audience a good night”. Grabbing time between the shoots of films like Unhinged, Thor: Love & Thunder, The Greatest Beer Run and his latest movie release, The Pope’s Exorcist, the band have been gathering, sometimes for weeks at a time just playing, recording, talking, gelling.

The relationships within the band go back 30 years. Dave Kelly (drums) and Stewart Kirwan (trumpet) were members of Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts, as well as playing with Crowe in The Ordinary Fear of God, which included Stu Hunter (piano), and in its touring form also included Chris Kamzelas (guitar). James Hazelwood (bass) has fit right in and shares friendships within the band that go back decades.

SET TIMES

Doors 5.00pm
Myth Of Her 7.00pm
Lorraine O’Reilly 7.30pm
Intro: 8.30pm

ALLEN STONE - Off The Beaten Path

Due to overwhelming demand, Allen Stone's Gold Coast show has been upgraded from the studio venue to the Laneway at Miami Marketta!

This is the same location, but a larger capacity space. All existing tickets remain valid for the new venue without the need for exchange, and no further action is required.

Tickets for the previously sold-out show are available now.

Soul powerhouse Allen Stone announces Australia and New Zealand dates for December 2023 and January 2024 as part of the Off The Beaten Path Tour.

Following the success of his 2022 ‘The New Normal Tour’ which saw him perform in major cities across Australia and New Zealand, Allen will make a return later this year, bringing his soulful melodies to intimate regional venues. The Washington-raised musician will kick off the tour at Newcastle’s Bar On The Hill before journeying through New South Wales, Canberra, Victoria, New Zealand, and concluding at Gold Coast’s Miami Marketta.

Allen Stone's journey to becoming a successful musician started in the small town of Chewelah, Washington, where he was raised on gospel music and spent much of his childhood as a pastor's son, watching his parents lead their congregation in song. After dropping out of college, he made the move to Seattle to pursue his music career, often driving up and down the West Coast in his '87 Buick to perform at any and all gigs he could find. Stone quickly gained a reputation for his powerful live performances, and over the years, he has played up to 200 dates per year, building a devoted following along the way. His unique ability to channel sensitivity into his songs while radiating hope and promise has endeared him to audiences worldwide. Stone's ability to blend various genres, including soul-pop, folk-rock, R&B, and funk, is evident in his five full-length albums, from his 2010 self-released debut album "Last To Speak" to 2021's "APART."

In addition to his successful touring schedule, Stone has also appeared on national television numerous times, including Australia’s RocKwiz, NPR’s TinyDesk, has been a guest on MTV’s Ridiculousness, and participated as a mentor for two seasons of ABC’s American Idol. Recently finishing a tour with Chris Stapleton, Allen is back in the studio working new music, set to be released in 2024.

Surprise Chef’s music is based on evoking mood; their vivid arrangements utilize time and space to build soundscapes that invite the listener into their world.

Hailing from just outside Melbourne, their first two albums, All News Is Good News and Daylight Savings (released in 2020) precipitated a cult-like fervour around the band. They were championed by DJs and tastemakers who spread Surprise Chef’s music from their home studio to audiences in every corner of the globe. The band were considered such a revelation amongst aficionados of funk and soul that in 2022 they were signed to Big Crown Records, a Brooklyn-based label who are considered to be on the cutting edge of the genre.

The quintet’s cinematic sound references funk, jazz, and the samples that form the foundation of hip-hop. On stage, expect to be taken on a virtuosic journey of masterful synth explorations, percussive break-downs, atmospheric colour and deep grooves.
