Roaring Lion is Australia’s premiere Bob Marley tribute band. On stage, its eight band members present a colourful explosion of the best reggae of our times - the beautiful and enduring music of Bob Marley. Formed in 2019, Roaring Lion is based in Queensland and has been performing regularly throughout Queensland. Roaring Lion have also performed in New South Wales and Melbourne, Victoria. Everywhere they play, their audiences sing and dance, in happy celebration of the man and his
message.

The musicians in Roaring Lion work hard to represent Bob Marley’s music with respect and authenticity. The music is classic roots reggae with drum ‘n’ bass, bubble, skank, lead and rhythm guitars. Backing vocalists sing harmonies on every song, while keys play the familiar sounds of clavinet, Moog, and Hammond organ, plus horns and strings. In 2024, Roaring Lion had the honour to open the Queensland premiere for the ‘Bob Marley:
One Love’ movie by Paramount Pictures. The band consistently presents a tight show of the most popular songs, as well as other well-known and cherished melodies. Roaring Lion continues to grow its repertoire of over sixty songs to keep shows fresh and deepen engagement with its loyal followers.

Roaring Lion delivers a show for all to remember, and is consistently invited back to perform at venues.
